Arabidopsis Relatives

By far the greatest number of resources for eXtreme plants at the genomic level are those for members of the Brassicaceae, especially those which were once, in the distant past, considered members of the genus Arabidopsis. Unfortunately, it seems that in most cases, there is very little by way of ecological or physiological information to accompany these genetic resources.

The objective of this site is to provide brief summaries of the species for which genomic or significant molecular resources are available, and links to those resources.  When possible, specific protocols and an entry to the relevant literature will also be provided.

To navigate to resources associated with specific models, please use the menu in the side bar.  The “Genome Resources” menu (above) provides links to genomic resources for species for which only limited resources currently exist.
